Be Wary of the 2992s Flight Medicine Patch

Be Wary of the 2992s Flight Medicine Patch — Aviation Medicine Morale Embroidered Patch

Be wary of the 2992s — they hold your wings in their hands.

In military aviation, the "2992" refers to the flight surgeon and aerospace medicine community — the medical officers who determine whether aviators are fit to fly. Every pilot, NFO, and aircrew member knows the power of the flight doc: one bad checkup, one concerning lab result, or one honest answer on a medical questionnaire can ground you faster than any enemy. "Be Wary of the 2992s" is the tongue-in-cheek warning passed between aviators — respect the flight surgeon, but never volunteer information you don't have to. This morale patch captures the love-hate relationship between aviators and the medical professionals who keep them flying.
